Village Council Meetings

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Act 267, Public Acts of 1967, effective March 31, 1977, the Almont Village Council, County of Lapeer, State of Michigan, will hold its regular meetings in the Municipal Building located at 817 N. Main Street, Almont, Michigan.  The meetings will commence at 7:30 p.m.  Please refer to the Village Calendar for meeting dates.

Public Comment

Each meeting of the Village Council [and other legislative bodies] include a time for public comment near the beginning of the meeting. While a majority of resident concerns can be resolved by Village staff prior to Council meetings, residents are encouraged to attend Council meetings and engage in the decision-making process. The Village encourages a three (3) to five (5) minute limitation upon each member of the public speaking in front of the Council in an effort to provide ample opportunity for all attending residents to address the Council. Residents with a disability that may impair their participation are encouraged to contact the Village Clerk at (810) 798-8528 seven business days before a meeting to request assistance; the Village will make every reasonable effort to provide any assistance.

Financial Disclosures

No financial disclosures or conflict-of-interest statements are required to be posted at this time for elected officials of the Village of Almont.
