All Village Council members are elected on a non-partisan basis.  The Village does not use a committee system of Village Council, and no members of the Village Council serve on Council-related committees.

The next election will be held in November of 2020. Voting records for current Council members can be obtained through researching the minutes available through this website.

Public Comment

Each meeting of the Village Council [and other legislative bodies] include a time for public comment near the beginning of the meeting. While a majority of resident concerns can be resolved by Village staff prior to Council meetings, residents are encouraged to attend Council meetings and engage in the decision-making process. The Village encourages a three (3) to five (5) minute limitation upon each member of the public speaking in front of the Council in an effort to provide ample opportunity for all attending residents to address the Council. Residents with a disability that may impair their participation are encouraged to contact the Village Clerk at (810) 798-8528 seven business days before a meeting to request assistance; the Village will make every reasonable effort to provide any assistance.
