If you are doing work in the Villages Right of Way (ROW) a permit is necessary. No person, firm, or corporation shall dig or tear up any pavement, sidewalk or crosswalk, or dig any hole, ditch, drain or sewer, in any street, alley or public property, without first obtaining a permit from the Village.
“ A Right of Way (ROW) is land controlled by public agencies that includes streets, alleys, public sidewalks, curbs, and the berm/green area, which is the area between the curb and sidewalk. The Village Department of Public Works manages the work within the Village’s Right of Way.”
Please fill out the ROW Permit and submit with the application fee and $2000.00 Surety Bond. Applications will not be processed if they are not filled out entirely and include the fee and bond.
The permit is not valid until the DPW Supervisor approves the permit and we notify you that your permit is valid.
